Serenade

Oh come and walk with me
Let all worries fall behind at the gates
Oh come and dream with me
Let all our wishes drift closely to us

Dream, sweet lover
This day
When you sleep
On a clouded pillow
In a whisper of cool
Beside the blue river

Wait, with me here, sweet lover
Feel my heart
Can you see… how you fill me
Can you hear… how your voice
Brings a smile within me
Inspires this serenade in my heart
Forevermore, it is only for you
This serenade

Can you see… how I long for this
Can you hear… how I yearn for you
Be still here with me
Be one and all with me
To celebrate this serenade of you
Forevermore, it is only for you
This serenade

Neverending summer loss

So perhaps I should let you go
That way I will be closer to you

Time and time again, it gathers
This tension, this yearning
No one could ever tell me to let go

Don’t tell me that you love me now
When the rain fell, where were you

Don’t tell me that you love me now
It doesn’t matter now, that you are here

But if you dream of me,
Hold me tight
And tell me that it’s not over
It hasn’t started after all

White bunny, black rabbit, multi-coloured dog

I dreamt of a pretty little bunny, that was pure white and oh so dainty. I wanted to cuddle her, but the person-in-charge said I better not, that the mother might not like it. He pointed to the side and I saw this huge rabbit that was black as night.

"And that's the father," said the keeper.

And in bounded a huge dog. My jaw dropped.

This was not even a purebreed dog. It was a big multi-coloured mongrel dog. And it nuzzled the black rabbit affectionately when it reached its side.

I looked at the pristine white bunny, then at the black mother, and then at the big dog with a sloppy grin on its face.

And I woke up, disoriented, and just dumbfounded.
