'On a burgundy day'

God bestowed upon Man a great gift,
but was spurned and belittled and ridiculed,
Who knows what might have occured
had Man not sneered at such seemingly
pathetic cheap instrument of justice and good.

In our desire for some great and almighty blow
we overlook the simplest adage that the
smallest and least powerful entity could topple
a tower.

Man created history.
History generated by events started by Man.
Man printed books,
Books easily altered to suit the needs of
those hungry for power and control over
the powerless many.

Religion is overrated.
Too much trivials emphasised.
Too little tolerance and adaptation.
Too much hidden by those who think they know best.
Too little light shed on mysteries that continue from age to age,
bewildering many, who think they 'see'
for a moment, but feel the flash of light,
slips through their grasp of understanding.

Perhaps it was just as well...
it would have been too much to accept and understand,
seeing that the minds of today's age
are all for coddling and pampering.

Evils walks everywhere. But so does God.
Have you the strength to know
the difference and,
still stay on course?
